How To Make Your Blog A Do Follow Blog
Most blog platform have a “no follow” (rel=”nofollow”) attribute on hyperlinks found on their blog. This code will tell Yahoo, Google and other search engines to ignore hyperlinks. This means that if you do link exchange or post a comment on a “no follow” blog, the search engines will not count your link or URL as a backlink.
Advantages of Do Follow Blogs:
- A do follow blog encourages other blog or site owners to post comment in your post to get a free backlink to their blog or site. Read here Link building by commenting on Do Follow blogs.
- You could easily get a link exchange if you have a do follow blog. Read here Boost you online business by link building.
- You can have your blog listed for free on do follow directories. Most of these directories have a high pagerank which could influence the pagerank of your site as well. Join our do follow blog list here.
- The more backlinks you have will increase your website traffic or page views and increase your pagerank.
Disadvantages of Do Follow Blogs
- You will receive a lot of spam comments. But this can be prevented by installing the Akismet plugin in your WordPress blog or Captcha on Blogger blogs.
- Takes a lot of time to moderate all the comments.
- Link juice will be distributed on all out bound links.
After knowing the advantages and the disadvantages of a Do Follow blog, it’s up to you to make it a do follow or a no follow blog. As a blogger, I would prefer to make my blogs a “do follow” blog.
You will find steps below on making your blog a “do follow” blog:
For WordPress blogs:
- Download the DO FOLLOW PLUGIN and unzip it.
- Install the plugin (dofollow.php) using FTP in the plugin directory (wp-content/plugins) of your blog.
- Login to your blog to activate the plugin in the plugins admin page. You now have a do follow blog.
For Blogger (www.blogger.com) blogs
- Log into your Blogger account
- Click on the Layout Tab
- Click the edit HTML Tab
- Check “Expand Widget Templates”
- Now search for the rel=’nofollow’ code and delete it. It is usually located around the bottom where you start to see codes such as ‘comment-form’ and codes that start with ‘comment’.
- Once you have spotted the code, delete the rel=’nofollow’ code between <a expr:href=’data:comment.authorUrl’> (rel=’nofollow’) <data:comment.author/></a> and hit save.
- You have completed on making your blog do follow!

Tell people about something, someone is advertising, to somebody else for something else.
Personally, I think so.
Here I have a blog about my travels, but I can not share them with people, because somebody would write that this is spam.
